Monthly Nursing Research Report – December 2025

The December 2025 Nursing Research Monthly Report highlights continued growth in research, innovation, and international collaboration. A key development is the arrival of Dr. Hatice Köse, a robotics specialist from Istanbul Technical University, who brings global expertise in AI, socially assistive robotics, and human–robot interaction to support education and therapeutic initiatives, particularly for children with autism and hearing impairments.

Several projects are progressing, including the restart of the VR Mindfulness in Pre-Op Anxiety study, ongoing work toward ChildKind Certification, and continued development in social robotics, with presentations, industry engagement, and a proposed purchase of a Blue Frog robot under regulatory review. Partnerships with the School of Engineering are expanding training and student involvement across multiple research areas.

The department also celebrated successful knowledge-sharing and recognition events, including the first Nursing Research & EBP Annual Symposium and appreciation of key partners. Student engagement remains strong, with new academic appointments and the welcoming of an international graduate student.

Finally, the report underscores active knowledge mobilization efforts, including culturally adapted ISpy game prototypes for Greece, international VR consultations, and progress on the OI Colour and OI Learn Colouring Book policy review—reinforcing the department’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and global impact.
